Allen Lund was born in 1968. He grew up around painting. His mother is the well-known Utah painter Nancy Lund. Allen did not pursue painting seriously,however, until age 25, when he began taking lessons from his mother. Within a year, he had sold his first painting, and within three years he was painting full time,scarcely able to keep up with the sudden demand for his work. The usual reaction to Allen Lund's paintings is emotional, his warm palette and impressionist style evoke a mood, a sense of familiarity.
