E.S. Lawrence Gallery is proud to represent international award winning Russian master artist, Nikolai Blokhin.
This young Russian Impressionist is making quite a splash on the International art scene. Born in 1968, he has had great success in Russia, USA and China. He is quite unique – combining traditional and contemporary styles – expressing his talent in beautiful, colorful figurative works, landscapes and still lifes. In 1996 Nikolai was awarded the Russian Academy of Arts prestigious gold medal award for “Young Artist of the Year”. He has studied and did post graduate work at Russia’s finest “St Petersburg Academy of Art” and has since moved up to be a “Teacher” as well as a “Professor” – quite an honor for a young artist. He won the Grand Prize at the American Society of Portrait Artists 2002 competition at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art (at the ripe age of 34!). His works hang in various museums in Russia, China, as well as Europe and Finland. Noted collectors are M. Gorbachev, former president of USSR, B. Elzin, former president of Russia, Russia-President-V.Putin
USA- Academy Award winning Anthony Quinn.
